Scenarist SD 3.4.3 includes the following outstanding issues, some of which have workarounds:Multiplexing and creating PlantDirect images In some rare instances it has been observed that creating a 2054bytes per sector discimage and PlantDirect image may lead to corruption of the output files. It is highlyrecommended to delete all contents of the target folder before performing the final multiplex. In particular thecontents of the muxdata folder needs to be deleted prior to the final mux which is being used for creating aPlantDirect image.User Guide The User Guide does not currently contain guidance on THX Media Director™. Please contact yoursupport representative for advice on using this feature.Writing Layer 1 only to DLT produces unpredictable results. The function is temporarily disabled.Sort Tracks When using the Sort Tracks dialog, the displayed sizes for Layer 0 and Layer 1 are only estimates. Thiscould result in a faulty disc where the Layer 0 size may be exceeded (even though the displayed size is 95%).Workaround: Multiplex all tracks for more precise calculations of layer sizes in the Sort Tracks dialog.Multiple Subtitles in 16:9 Projects In some instances, subtitle mapping is incorrect when using the same languagenames with 16:9 projects.

Synchronizing AC-3 audio with embedded timecode to video streams in drop frame mode is now fullyfunctional. Also Software Simulation will now play back from the correct location inside an AC-3 audio stream.(SSD-269, SSD-270). Linear PCM Audio now plays back successfully in Software Simulation. (SSD-244). It is now possible to copy and paste Highlight Play items between tracks.
When pasting Highlight Play itemsinto a track which has a different aspect ratio to the source track the highlight’s aspect ration will beautomatically adjusted. (SSD-275, SSD-283). Creating projects with ROM content (Enhanced DVD) will no longer fail if the file name is longer than 63characters and Joliet File System extensions are being used.
(SSD-273). The Help - About Dialog now shows the correct build number (SSD-285). Multiple issues have been fixed when opening projects from previous versions or performing “Save As”functions. (SSD-279, SSD-280, SSD-286). When moving a button in the simulation window its size will no longer increase by one pixel.
Resolved issues in Scenarist SD 3.4.2. THX Media Director information for angles and audio streams which have been added after the track has beenimported into the Scenario Editor is now added correctly (SSD-239).
Scenarist SD will now default to including THX Media Director Information (SSD-171). Attempting to import BMP images in unsupported formats as subpictures will now result in an immediateerror message. (SSD-128). Importing scripts from older versions of Scenarist SD no longer offsets subpicture files and audio streams.(SSD-248). It is now possible to seamlessly open Scenario files (scn) from Scenarist SD version 3.0 onwards.
Scenarist SD now allows now allows multiplexing tracks that contain Multi-Angle blocks (SSD-198). It is now possible to copy and paste drop-frame tracks (SSD-256 and others). Resolved issues in Scenarist SD 3.4.1. The calculation of the initial SCR for a multi-angle track has been improved. This increases the chances of asuccessful multiplex even on complex tracks. If interleaving multi-angle tracks consistently fails the user cantry adjusting the environment variable MULTIANGLESIMULATIONTIMEINSECONDS.

Performing Hardware Simulation on Multi-Core PCs will now play back fluently. During Simulation theapplication will only use one processor. When the simulation process has ended the application will revert tousing all available processors.
Video streams that have been created as “Multi-File Data” no longer fail to generate thumbnails.
